私は人生の30年間を、治療に用いられる規則や処方薬の研究と実践に費やしてきたが、それらの主張に耳を傾けることが無益であることを悲痛な思いとともに悟った。
私はそれらとの精神的な決別を己に求め、それを成し遂げた。
そして、薬物と私とは東が西から隔てられているのと同じほど遠く離れた存在であることを読者には理解してもらいたい。
今も、そしてこれから永遠に。私は自然の摂理に従うのだ。
